hi Veritas families it's so to see you all I'm so happy to send this message this is actually my first full week at Veritas let me tell you it doesn't feel like that because I feel like I'm kind of time over last semester and so this is officially though my first week and it's been a great week we're really excited about the journey for the Lord has us on and when I finish things up UST really well I got about a week ago I'm off I got you recharge and I'm also really excited because our girls how Lauren Reese they're going to be joining a Veritas Community as students come August so this is this is just something we're just so thrilled about I'm the one to tell you that you know that this is something that's been I'm sure I'm on your heart been on my mind and collectively we've been thinking through and that's basically that the safety and well-being of our community talk to you a little bit about that that's always our Priority Care Veritas we've been so privileged that and bless that we've had such a safe kind of environment here and we want to continue that and this summer specially light up some of the tragedies of happened in our country we want to put that first and foremost as a priority so that our first piece is just what people of prayer to a week we've been trained will continue to pray to God. he would give us wisdom James 1:5 says if we ask for wisdom Our God will give it to us in abundance in generously and that's amazing also think about Psalm 25 where it starts off with say we put I put my trust in you that's exactly where we begin we begin with putting our trust in the Lord asking for his wisdom and knowing that he will guide our steps and let me tell you it's been so encouraging to see how that's already played out we've already gotten a few text message or emails from our Committee Member saying what is praying for you and we just covered that so please keep on doing that we're doing some really attractive and very practical steps so that we're going to be prepared to have a great summer bike buy really Gods this you know just orchestration we we've actually this week we've already visited with one of our board members who has exact expertise in safety so that such a blessing and we very had an ability to walk through look at some of the infrastructure look for opportunities for upgrades that's something that we've already done and we're going to continue to tap into the wisdom and intelligence our community we have within our community people with law enforcement backgrounds so we're going to make sure we get some feedback and a real kind of things to look at the release of training for faculty and staff and that's just another step wouldn't take in addition to that want to strengthen our Partnerships with local law enforcement local First Responders also just other schools nearby so that we have a cohesive effort on how we can keep on prioritizing the safety and well-being of our community so those are just some of the highlights were already working through you should expect more come vacation and progress on all those things throughout the summer it really is about the collective wisdom and intelligence of our community that we've been able to tap into and we're just so grateful for that and speaking of community like I said earlier you know one of the things that really enjoyed is getting to see people out of dads and getting to know some of you all we wanted to continue some of those opportunities throughout the summer so you should expect to see when the next few weeks just a few invitation. duties for informally getting to know each other so I can get to know you all Stanley's within either smaller groups or as individuals kind of one-on-one appointments as it has it works out for your schedule so expect those Opera she needs to occur and sprinkled in in June and July and you in the beginning of August we just thank you so much I'm so excited to join this community and we just love you guys and look forward to getting to know you.
