Kim Berger is another of a handful of faculty who have been at Veritas since its inception.  Additionally, she has seen two of her own children attend and graduate from Veritas.

What do you love about Veritas?
There are so many things I love about Veritas. The top of my list would have to be the love I have for the students, their families, and my coworkers. It’s like we are one big family with the same mission and values.

Why do you like teaching at Veritas?
I like teaching at Veritas because it gives me the honor and privilege of sharing God’s Word on a daily basis. I love teaching children and helping them grow spiritually, academically, and socially. Further, having the same mission and values as the school certainly was a huge factor for my decision to not only have my boys attend here but also to teach here as well. This school truly has been a blessing to me and my family.

How do you prepare students for lives of service and learning?
Modeling servant leadership, not perfectly of course, and exhibiting a love of learning is one of the ways I prepare a student for a life of Christ-like service and learning. I encourage my students to display these concepts and praise them when they do.

What is a unique experience, talent, or interest that you bring to help shape Veritas students?
Nothing unique......I love to have fun, and I want the students to have fun while we learn. (Ex. Sometimes I teach in a different accent to keep the students engaged.)

What sets a Veritas student apart from others?
Over the years, I have heard of non-Veritas adults commend our students for the following:
  1. Early theologians
  2. Well-behaved students
  3. Well prepared for high school
  4. Advanced in math
