Dear Parents,
I am so excited to see you on the first day of school! I think all of you share our excitement for this upcoming school year. We look forward to having all of our students safely back on campus and online.
By now, you should have received several waves of communication from us. Through these communications, we have outlined the major steps we are taking to mitigate the contraction of COVID-19 on our campus. The development and implementation of these plans have been extensive and thorough. Our faculty and staff have been busy preparing the campus for your child’s return. I can assure you that Veritas is doing all that we can to make reopening our campus successful and safe. We have spent countless hours in preparation for opening next week for our On-Campus Learning experience and Distance Learning Option, and we look forward to welcoming your child into this new learning environment.
First, let me thank you so much for your support and gratitude as we have prepared our campus for reopening. If we as a community can be vigilant and disciplined, not becoming complacent, we stand a greater chance of having the opportunity to be together on campus for our students to learn and to get back to some sense of normalcy and routine in such a challenging time. I find wearing a mask and having to physically distance from people challenging, but I do them regularly. If we take all the necessary precautions outlined in our prior communications, while remaining vigilant with new protocols to protect everyone, we can gather as a community of learners once more and experience the joy that brings to us all.
To give ourselves the best chance to lessen the possibility of community spread of COVID-19 on our campus, we expect all students and faculty to carefully follow all school protocols for the greater good of the community when we begin school.
Today, you are receiving two online forms that require completion before returning to campus. Please complete these by Friday, August 14th, to help us make final preparations as your child returns to campus or online. The link to these two forms are included below:
- Veritas Family Acknowledgments Form (Includes Veritas Family Pledge, Selection of On-Campus Learning or Distance Learning Option, Parent/Student Handbook Agreement, etc.) – Please complete one form per family.
- Veritas Health Questionnaire – Please submit one form per child.
