Medical FAQ's
How do I decide if my child should come to school? (COVID-19 Related)
Parents agreeing and knowing when to keep children home from school is a very important part of keeping our campus healthy. To help, we have outlined key protocols to help families determine when a child should stay home. All NO answers mean that your child may return to campus.

IMPORTANT: If at any point your child is feeling well enough, they may participate in school remotely until returning to campus. If a student tests positive with COVID-19, they cannot return to campus until after at least 10 days from the onset of symptoms as well as fever-free and symptom-free for 24 hours without medication (subject to change based on CDC Guidelines).
Will there be a school nurse on campus throughout the school day?
Yes, a school nurse will be on campus throughout the school day.
What if a student has symptoms, exposure, or contracts COVID-19?
We expect parents to remain in close communication with the school’s nurses. If your child is exposed to or contracts COVID-19, please email nurse@veritasca.org or call 713-773-9605. The School will work closely with the family, our Medical Advisory Team, and the Harris County Health Department to help guide the decision when a student can return to school.
Will parents be notified if a student or staff member is diagnosed with COVID-19?
Veritas will use Harris County Public Health’s Guidelines. Communication regarding COVID-19 health alerts in our community will be HIPPA compliant.
