Creatus

At Veritas, our art program is integrated into the overall curriculum, especially the study of history. An Egyptian coffin, Greek bronze sculpture and Roman mosaics have inspired works by our students. We offer classical education for a modern world.

The arts speak to what has been called our “moral imagination.” They train us in discerning and beholding truth, goodness and beauty. We involve our students in music, drama and art with a view to developing both an appreciation of the masters and their abilities in self-expression. A top-notch arts faculty guides their discovery. The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston in 2008 exhibited the art of Veritas second- and third-grade students in its gallery.

Involvement in the performance and visual arts can have a lifelong influence on a child. From the early years, children are naturally drawn to music, role playing and imagery. Our goal is to harness this innate creativity, providing opportunities throughout the school year for children to discover and develop their individual God-given gifts and talents (Proverbs 22:6).

In both our fine and performing arts departments, we offer an award-winning program designed to draw upon each child's creative abilities.
