High School

(Coming to Veritas soon)

The classical model cannot be complete without the third part of theTrivium. Knowledge is fed in the grammar stage (elementary grades), understanding in the logic stage (middle school grades) and wisdom in the rhetoric stage, in high school.

Having developed the skills to think critically and reason effectively, students in this stage are taught to communicate clearly and persuasively.

In the high school years, students use their grammar and logic skills to express their knowledge in both oral and written form. Learning is truly accomplished if the student can express what has been taught in research papers and debates. Students research important themes and present those concepts in papers and speeches. They discuss and debate world events and explore career options.

At Veritas, we are committed to completing the Trivium by adding a school of rhetoric in the coming years. Our Long Range Planning Committee is prayerfully studying all options in order to put a high school in place.
